How to send an email to an Ethereum address
Did you know that you can send an email to an Ethereum address? Here's how...
You can send and receive emails from an Ethereum address using these steps:
Access https://web.ethmail.cc using a browser in which you have installed MetaMask. A screen like this will open up:
Click on the big blue button that says “Ethereum Wallet”. A screen like this will open up:
Click on “MetaMask”. A screen like this will open up:
Click on “Select”. A screen like this will open up:
Click on “Sign”. That’s it. An easy-to-use email interface opens up! You can send emails to any email account, not just to other ethereum accounts.
Your email address is <ethereum address>@ethmail.cc
Example: This is what a receiver sees if you send an email to a Gmail address:
By the way, you can also send and read messages in Ethereum transactions. To read the messages, open up a transaction in a blockchain explorer e.g. Etherscan:
In this example, I have used: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x4c102e972301b999318df70e3d3a067994dcc83951f07f7f37c45ff7e922beec
Scroll down to “Click to see more” and look at the section titled “Input Data”. You will need to be logged in. It will look something like this:
Click on “View Input As” and select “UTF-8”. You would see something like this:

Can you change it so the reciecer sees the txt in plain texr without the the need to convert
wow. The emails are working perfectly. Just from where did you find the transaction ID (as shown in the example). As I searched the address used in explorer and could not find any transactions (using a freshly created address)
